We are excited to have Jeremy and Connie Sinnott back with us this week in Golden Valley Church for a mid-week conference.
Jeremy and Connie are loved ministers in GVC and it’s a joy to be welcoming them to Gloucester again. They come from a Barrie, Ontario where they currently pastor the new “Catch the Fire” church plant out of Toronto.
There is no charge for these meetings but offerings will be taken up.
Like Father, like son and daughter. That’s God’s desire for us – to know Him as He is, and to be like Him. Jesus lived with a secure identity as Son of the Father. His desire is for us to live in the security of Sonship too. This weekend conference will take us deeper in the Father’s love.
It will be a pleasure to welcome Peter Jackson in Golden Valley Church, from Toronto, in May as our speaker.
Peter and Heather Jackson were the founding directors of the Catch The Fire School of Ministry (SOM) in 1995, as the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was beginning to spread worldwide.. Their vision for the SOM came from many years of experience teaching and directing ministry schools with Daystar Ministries and Youth With A Mission (YWAM).
For more than thirty years now, they have been privileged to impart the revelation of the Father’s love and Sonship in churches, conferences and encounter retreats all over the world.
Go to Eventbrite to register for this event. Early booking is advised, as places may be limited.
It is with great anticipation we are awaiting our forthcoming conference with Jeremy & Connie Sinnott, from Catch the Fire, Toronto.
They are well loved in Golden Valley Church, and we look forward to sharing in worship and fellowship together during the weekend of 5th to 7th December.
Friday and Saturday will comprise a short conference entitled, “CLOSER”. Sessions will take place at the local parish church in Coney Hill, St Oswald’s, due to the larger size of the venue.
We know God’s Presence will be here, and we are sincerely grateful for that.
Scott and Hilary Dalton will be back in Golden Valley Church, March 1st to 3rd, for a mini-conference entitled ‘Supernatural Living’.
The Daltons are regular conference speakers and ministers in GVC, and it is a pleasure to be hosting this event with them again. They are itinerant ministers based at ‘Catch the Fire’, Toronto (formerly TACF), and have a passion to release Christians to their true identity in Christ.
Scott and Hilary say, “This will be a weekend of life-changing teaching and powerful impartation. The Voice of God is calling out across England, ‘Rise Up, Church!’ It’s time to throw off complacency and dullness of spirit. Let’s reject weak and defeated living and press into God for the fullness of His vision for our lives!..”
Sessions will be Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, Sunday morning.
“Most people know that God is a Father in much the same way as people outside of my family know that I am a father. They know that fact because they have been taught it or because they see it in Scripture. But they may not have experienced it. Too many people in the church only have a theology of God as a Father but few have come to experience him as a Father to them.
“God’s heart is that we come to experience him as Father. God, our Father, wants us to have a heart of sonship and to experience his love as Jesus did. After all, when we became Christians we became children of God (John 1:12).”
The above is a quote from Mark Gyde’s book, “A Father to You”. Mark will be speaking in Golden Valley Church, January 11th and 12th 2013.
It is with great anticipation and excitement we are preparing for this weekend’s conference in Golden Valley Church, “A Father to You”.
The reality of God’s Fatherhood has been a primary value in GVC since its beginning and has been reflected in much of our history and teaching. But in a world where both ‘God’ and ‘Father’ carry so many mixed emotions and beliefs for people it is important for us as Christians to continue to fully align with the amazing, overwhelming truth that God is our absolutely loving and faithful Father, who provides security for living in a world that has generally turned its back on Him.
This weekend we have our friend Mark Gyde with us. Mark leads a ministry and has authored a book with the same title, “A Father to You”. He is a close colleague of James & Denise Jordan (Fatherheart Ministries) and together with Barry Adams, hosts a weekly webcast on a Wednesday.
We believe that this is a great opportunity to dig deeper into the love and truth of God the Father, and to soak up that blessing as we begin another year. The year ahead is full of uncertainty – we know that – but the love of God the Father is both certain and constant, whatever our life has been like.
We look forward to welcoming Mark in GVC at the Firehouse chapel, Coney Hill, on Friday and Saturday.

It was a great pleasure to again welcome Jeremy and Connie Sinnott to our church for the ‘Presence Keepers’ Conference. Like us at Golden Valley Church they have a passion to see the Body of Christ drawn into intimacy with God through worship and soaking in His presence where hearts are healed and renewed in preparation for the coming Bridegroom.
The conference was well attended by people who came from a wide range of churches and areas. All of us had been drawn by a desire to have a deeper knowledge and experience of God in our lives. Jeremy and Connie led us in worship that was beautiful and gentle, yet tremendously powerful. There was a great sense of God’s Presence that arose and emanated throughout the place that lasted all weekend.
Throughout their teaching and sharing, we had fun and laughter with Jeremy and Connie. Connie shared how she used a little buzzer that went off every ten minutes that reminded her to praise and thank God for all her blessings and circumstances, which is so important to do. It was so refreshing in the way they taught us not to have a divide from God that made it easier to receive. They exhorted us to practice intimacy with God’s presence and to have a deeper knowledge of His heart of love for us and explained how we need God to be able to flow out of us to reach people and touch hearts. We can do nothing of ourselves. We need to be channels for Him. It was also wonderful to have time to experience some special times of ‘soaking’ up His presence and our Heavenly Father was able to gently draw us closer bringing release and freedom as He touched us. Our lives were opened up to Him in a deeper way.
Faith levels continually rose as the manifest presence of God came down. Signs and wonders were demonstrated on our second day and healings were in our midst.
Prophetic sessions were also arranged for people who wanted some encouragement from God over their lives and these proved to be enjoyable and affirming both to those who prophesied and those that received. It is such a joy when we allow God speaks and we receive all He has for us!
The ‘Fire Tunnel’ at the end of our meetings was magnificent! We all lined up and went through the tunnel formed by leaders (some of us several times)! We were enveloped by the Holy Spirit’s power and we mostly staggered through with much hilarity and laughter.
